Book Dash is one piece in a giant puzzle of organisations working to get books to children.

Organisations that give Book Dash books directly to children, ECD centres, schools and children’s libraries include The Shine Centre, Masikhule, the Pebbles Project, Halli Trust, Via Volunteers, Thembalitsha, the Anna Foundation, Wordworks, the Bulungula Incubator, Etafeni Trust, Little Libraries, Rotary Newlands, Read to Rise and more.

The African Storybook Project and Nal’ibali provide translations of many of our books.

FunDza distributes our books on their mobile-reading platform.

‘Getting beautiful, relevant and accessible books into the hands of children is a sure-fire way of creating readers for many years to come. Book Dash offers an innovative solution to doing what we consider is the most important work – growing generations of book-lovers, wordsmiths and creative thinkers.’—Mignon Hardie, FunDza Literacy Trust

Organisations that have participated in Book Dash print runs, helping us lower per-copy costs, include Rock Girl, Biblionef South Africa and Rotary Newlands.

In developing Book Dash, we’ve been inspired by the wonderful work of Pratham Books, the African Storybook Project, Book Sprints (whose name we’ve echoed with much respect), Siyavula and others.
